I became a christian when I was 18. I had always questioned things and had been interested in religion and if it could answer my questions. I had looked at Buddism and some of the New age stuff in particular. However I could not find any answers in them. I was bored, frustrated and could not see anything big enough to want to achieve or do. I had been searching for a purpose in life and that when God came in. Slowly and still with much questioning it dawned on me that He was the answer and could and would give me everything I needed. I was at first scared it was a boring life but I have found out since that its very far from that. I also was worried that though it felt right it wouldn’t be able to be proved true in a scientific manner. I again have since found that my faith is based on solid historical evidence.
'I was brought up in the Catholic church in Poland, but as a teenager stopped going because it was overly repetitious and too political. I came to Edinburgh and got invited to a few meetings at Destiny Church, which I found to be full of life. There I discovered a new relationship with God which has changed my life as well as my closest family. I'm excited to share what I've found to be true, and want people to grasp what life with God can be like.'
'I grew up with no church background, and was always looking for something to make life seem worthwhile, but for years the fulfilment I was looking for eluded me. I got involved in a life of clubbing and relationships which began to take over my life and sent me on a downward spiral. I reached a point where I couldn't see any way out of the problems I was facing, and it was at that point that, by myself in my room, I felt God 'tap me on the shoulder', and for the first time in my life I realised that God was real, and that He wanted to help me. I admitted my failure and my helplessness before Him, and asked Him to save me, and immediately I felt a peace fill me which I'd never known before. This was the turning point in my life, and God has helped me through every situation I've faced since then. I'm here in Inverness to help others find the answer, the 'water of life' they desperately need in a dry and barren existence. God has more for you!'
